what does make voting irrelevant though is the electoral college rules, in that the college can vote for a candidate for whom people voted not. its the built i coup d etat to safeguard the elite stays in power.
but if +- 40 % of eligible and registered voters REGISTERED as a third party, - not necessary to vote for them - that would send a POWERFUL message. .... dont you think so?
further to elect a viable democratic opposition party, a runoff electin system is needed- one in where if no candidate gets 50% of votes, 2 with the most enter a second round of voting ... that would be a real democracy. not corporate communism.
