Traditional colonial powers Britain and France want to bomb and colonize Lybia. Russia and Germany say no. As in Iraq -

Start recolonization and/or genocide by bombing the country into last century - massive aerial assault on bridges, roads, power stations, hospitals, infrastructure - just as in Iraq, and also Afghanistan.

That will bring chaos, poverty, starvation, possibly civil war and disintegration of a nation.

Japan Earthquake 2011: Nuclear Battle May Take Weeks. Three reactors have had at least partial meltdowns, but an even greater danger has emerged.

Japanese and U.S. concerns were increasingly focusing on the pools used to store spent nuclear fuel: Some of the pools are dry or nearly empty and the rods could heat up and spew radiation.

nuclear fuel rods in two reactors were only about half covered with water, and in a third they were also not completely submerged.

If the fuel is not fully covered, rising temperatures and pressure will increase the chances of complete meltdowns that would release much larger amounts of radioactive material than the failing plant has emitted so far.

Colonial intervention war to begin? Libya No-Fly Zone and foreign air strikes to help armed rebels Approved By U.N. Security Council

U.S. officials have said the authorization for "all necessary measures" provides a legal basis for countries to carry out air strikes to protect civilians from Gadhafi's forces.

Air strikes will provide a cover for armed anti-government rebels fighting to topple the government.

To protect "civilians", lets bomb them.

What about Saudi military intervention against civilians in Bahrain, and police military action against unarmed Bahrain protesters.

Japanese engineers strive to restore power to nuclear plant pump to avert catastrophe . Situation now "serious, but reasonably stable."

Worst case scenarios would involve millions of people in Japan threatened by exposure to radioactive material.

U.S. President Barack Obama said the Japan crisis posed no risk to any U.S. territory - and he nevertheless ordered a comprehensive review of domestic nuclear plants.

Latest images from the plant showed severe damage, with two of the buildings a twisted mangle of steel and concrete.

yen surged to a record high against the dollar on market speculation Japan would repatriate funds to pay for the massive cost of post-disaster reconstruction,

The government warned Tokyo's 13 million people to prepare for a possible large-scale blackout but later said there was no need for one. Still, many firms voluntarily reduced power, submerging parts of the usually neon-lit city in darkness.

At its worst, radiation in Tokyo has reached 0.809 microsieverts per hour this week, 10 times below what a person would receive if exposed to adental x-ray. On Thursday, radiation levels were barely above average.

TOKYO RESIDENTS STAY INDOORS

Many Tokyo residents stayed indoors, however, usually busy streets were nearly deserted and many shops were closed.
